Novi Sad, Belgrade – Nis – Skopje – Ohrid
Day 1
Arrival in Belgrade, – transfer to the hotel. Introduce a program, free afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2- Belgrade city tour
Panoramic city tour where you will see the most interesting things about Belgrade – Saint Sava Temple, Red Star Stadium, Belgrade Bridges, New Belgrade, and Belgrade Arena. Walking sightseeing tour to the National Parliament, Terazije Street, Knez Mihajlova Street, Kalemegdan Park and Belgrade Fortress. House of Flowers Mausoleum, River Cruise and Sightseeing. Visit Josip Broz Tito Mausoleum, “House of Flowers”, after enjoy a sightseeing boat trip on the Danube and Sava Rivers, and lunch at River Restaurant. Free time. Evening visit to Zemun, Millennium Tower, Saint Michael Cathedral. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 City tour to Novi Sad
After breakfast, departures fort Novi Sad – town which it’s called also and “Serbian Athens” – Tour in Novi Sad is a walking tour, we’ll see Dunavska and Zmaj Jovina Street that compose city’s pedestrian zone, the City Hall, Catholic Church, old city center, house of Albert Einstein’s wife Mileva, cultural foundation Matica Srpska, Synagogue and city beach Strand. Then we’ll follow to the right bank of Danube and a visit to Petrovaradin where the Fortress is located. The Fortress is sometimes called „Danube’s Gibraltar“ for its strategic position. Nowadays the Fortress is famous for one of the most prestigious music festivals EXIT. After a free time, returning in Belgrade. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 – Belgrade – Nis – Skopje
Breakfast and check out at the hotel in Belgrade. Transfer to Skopje – Macedonia (5h road trip). Little break in city of Nis. City tour of Nis – Niš Fortress is the first site that we visit. We will walk along the walls, that are well preserved, enter the gates, and make a short promenade in the inside park. On our way to Kazandjiska Street we will pass by the King Milan Square and the Obrenoviceva shopping street. We can make the lunch break in the Kazandjiska Street, and taste the local cuisine and the local lifestyle. Our next attraction is the Skull Tower, built in Ottoman time, from the skulls of the Serbian rebels against the Ottoman rule. Today the tower is locates inside a chapel and is a Cultural Monument of Exceptional Importance. Continue our trip to Skopje. Arrive in Skopje – Hotel check in hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 Skopje city tour
After breakfast, Skopje city tour – The tour usually starts on the plateu where the Museum of Contemporary Art is located. This offers a wonderful view of the central part of Skopje. We will see a Fortress Kale, Mustapha Pasha Mosque, Church of the Holy Savior and the small museum of Goce Delchev, Then we continue our stroll through the Old Bazaar where two more caravanserais can be seen and two Turkish Baths – Chifte Hammam and Daut Pasha Hammam, we will cross the Stone Bridge, Holocaust Memorial Centre for the Jews of Macedonia and the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle for Independence, Old Railway Station. We stay for a short visit to the Memorial House of Mother Teresa, after that we continue to canyon Matka where we will have a boat trip and visit cave Vrelo. On the returning in Skopje, visit the Millennium Cross where we will use a cable car. Returning in Skopje. Free afternoon. Overnight in hotel.
Day 6 – Skopje Mavrovo Ohrid
After pick up from your hotel, we are going to visit National Park Mavrovo –after that visit the monastery St. Jovan Bigorski – The monastery complex includes: church, charnel house, located to the church itself, defense tower, complex of monastery shelters, and the new built guests shelters. Then we leave for Ohrid and visit te famous village Vevchani and Vevchani springs. Option for lunch in plenty of national restaurants. Little visit and stopn in Struga, Arrive in Ohrod. Accommodation in hotel. Free time. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7 – Ohrid City Tour.
Short rest in the center of Ohrid. Tour starts before the monument of St. Cyril and Methodist, and it continues to the Lower gate, City museum, church St. Sofia, Antic Theater, Upper gate, church St. Virgin Mary, Perivleptos, The Gallery of effigies, Samoils fortress, Plaoshnik and tour ends with a walk thru Ohrid’s market-place. After short brake where you departures to St Naum complex which its 28km form Ohrid City center. By end of day, return in Ohrid. Overnight in hotel.
DAY 8 –BITOLA-SKOPJE
Breakfast. After breakfast departure for Bitola. The road leads us across the Galichica mountain. A visit to the city of Bitola, and the ancient Macedonian town of Heraclea Lyncestis, which is located 5km far from, and which was founded in the middle of the 4th century BC. Afterwards a visit to the military high school “Kemal Ataturk” named after the creator of modern Turkey. Then a departure for Skopje with stop in winery STOBI where we will have a taste a wine with lunch. Accommodation in the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 9 – SKOPJE
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure from Macedonia
